Meet the Founder and CEO
Cierra Mclendon Berry
“I founded Her Haven to be the safe place I wish existed for so many young women who deserve better.”
— Cierra Mclendon Berry, Founder & CEO of Her Haven

Cierra Mclendon Berry is a devoted community leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for youth empowerment. She is the visionary Founder and CEO of Her Haven, a transitional housing program designed to serve young women ages 18–25 who are aging out of foster care and group homes. Rooted in love, resilience, and purpose, Her Haven offers more than just housing—it offers a new beginning.
Cierra’s journey began in Ozark, Alabama, where she was raised in a close-knit family with a deep commitment to service and integrity. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Cierra has spent over a decade in administrative leadership at M1 Support Services. Her career reflects her natural gift for structure, mentorship, and advocacy.
Her passion for supporting underserved youth was deeply personal. Having adopted her nieces and nephews and witnessed firsthand the challenges facing young people without a stable support system, Cierra became determined to create a solution. That determination led to the founding of Her Haven under her leadership at Prestige Women LLC.
Since launching Her Haven, Cierra has worked tirelessly to build a space where young women feel empowered, protected, and seen. She has developed programs that include financial literacy workshops, trauma-informed counseling, career development, life skills training, and community mentorship—all delivered within safe, supportive housing constructed from innovative shipping containers.
In addition to her leadership at Her Haven, Cierra is also the proud owner of Elegant Decor, an event planning and rental company she founded in 2016. She is known throughout the Wiregrass region not only as a businesswoman but also as a philanthropist, hosting annual fundraisers for breast cancer awareness and consistently volunteering to uplift her community.
Cierra’s leadership style is visionary, faith-filled, and action-driven. She believes in meeting young women where they are and walking beside them into independence and stability. Her dream is to expand Her Haven across Alabama and beyond, creating a nationwide network of transitional homes that break generational cycles of poverty, abuse, and abandonment.
When she’s not advocating or building programs, Cierra enjoys spending time with her family, supporting youth ministries, and inspiring others through speaking engagements.
“Her Haven is a promise that you are not forgotten. You are not alone. And your future is still waiting to be claimed—with confidence, with strength, and with purpose.”
